How I work
From the first call to your annual review, this is what working with me looks like. Each step has a clear purpose, and you decide at every stage whether to go on.
The six steps
First call
Thirty minutes on your situation, your family and what you want to protect. I explain how Pru Life UK plans work in general terms. No forms and no obligation.
Needs review
I work out what your family would need if your income stopped, if you fell seriously ill, or when you retire, and set that against the cover you already have. You see the figures, not just a recommendation.
Plan documents
For the plans worth considering, I go through Pru Life UK’s official documents with you in the meeting: premiums, benefits and charges and, for variable life plans, how fund values can rise and fall.
Application and underwriting
If you decide to go ahead, we complete the application together. Pru Life UK may ask for medical information, a medical exam or financial documents, and decides whether to accept the application and on what terms.
Policy delivery
When Pru Life UK issues the policy, I go through the contract with you page by page. The free-look period starts when you receive it, so you still have time to change your mind (see the FAQ).
Annual review
Once a year, or when life changes (a move, a new child, retirement), we check the cover still fits. In between, I help with policy changes and with preparing a claim.
What to bring
- Your passport and, if you are not a Filipino citizen, your visa and ACR I-Card. I’ll confirm exactly which documents Pru Life UK needs for your situation.
- Details of any life, health or HMO cover you already have.
- A rough monthly budget. The budget calculator helps.
- Names and dates of birth of the people you want to protect or name as beneficiaries.
- Your questions, written down.
