Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how personal data is collected and used on licensedfinancialadvisor.ph (the “Site”). It is written to comply with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and issuances of the National Privacy Commission (NPC).
1. Who is responsible for your data
The personal information controller is Arne J. Wood, an insurance agent authorized by the Insurance Commission to act as an Insurance Agent of Pru Life UK (Agent Code 70195792), based in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, Philippines.

This Site is operated by Arne J. Wood personally. It is not an official Pru Life UK website, and Pru Life UK does not operate it. If you later apply for a Pru Life UK policy, Pru Life UK will process your data under its own privacy notice.
2. What we collect
- Identity and contact details: first name, last name and email address.
- Location: country and, if you choose to give it, city or province.
- Needs-analysis wizard answers: life stage, dependants, age band, goals and priorities, existing cover, general health or risk topics (in broad categories only; please do not send us medical details), funding preference, timeframe, attitude to risk, currency preference and residency status, plus the plans shown to you.
- Consent and verification records: the wording and version of the consent you gave, the date and time you gave it and the date and time you verified your email (Philippine time, Asia/Manila), your IP address and your browser’s user-agent.
- Technical data: IP address, device and browser information, collected through server logs, security tools and cookies (see section 8).
- Other forms and orders: any details you send through our contact or guide sign-up forms, or when you buy from the shop (for example billing details needed to complete an order).
Some wizard answers, such as broad health topics, may be sensitive personal information. We collect them only with your consent, only in general categories, and only to tailor the information we show you. With your consent, we also save your wizard answers and the results shown to you with your contact record in our FluentCRM database, so we can follow up with you and prepare relevant advice for any consultation.
3. Why we use it, and on what legal basis
- To verify your email and show your wizard results. Basis: your consent.
- To contact you about financial planning, including follow-up emails and a consultation if you book one. Basis: your consent.
- To prepare for a consultation you book through Calendly. Basis: your consent, and steps taken at your request before a contract.
- To keep the Site secure and prevent abuse, for example through rate limits, spam and bot protection, and security logs. Basis: our legitimate interests.
- To keep records of consent and meet legal and regulatory obligations. Basis: legal obligation and legitimate interests.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects. Wizard results are general information only, not personal advice.
4. Where your data is stored and who receives it
- Hosting and storage: the Site, including our FluentCRM contact database (a WordPress plugin that runs on our own site) and the consent records, is hosted by Hostinger. Data is stored on Hostinger’s servers, which may be outside the Philippines.
- Email delivery: verification codes and follow-up emails are sent by our site’s email service provider.
- Scheduling: if you book a consultation, Calendly processes the details you enter under its own privacy policy.
- Security, analytics and site tools: security, caching and analytics services (for example Wordfence, LiteSpeed and Google Site Kit / Google Analytics, if enabled) may process technical data.
- Pru Life UK: your data is shared with Pru Life UK only if you decide to apply for a policy, and only with your agreement at that time.
- Authorities: we disclose data when required by law or by a lawful order.
Where data is transferred outside the Philippines, we rely on providers that apply appropriate safeguards, and we remain accountable for your data under RA 10173.
5. How long we keep it
- Unverified wizard submissions: deleted automatically when the code expires (10 minutes).
- Contacts and wizard answers: kept while you stay subscribed, and deleted or anonymised within 24 months of your last interaction, or sooner if you ask.
- Consent records: kept for up to 5 years after you withdraw consent, so we can show the consent was valid.
- Clients: if you become a client, records are kept as long as insurance and tax rules require.
6. Your rights
Under RA 10173 you have the right to:
- be informed;
- access your data;
- object;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have data erased or blocked;
- data portability;
- claim damages; and
- file a complaint.

If you believe your data has been mishandled, you may complain to the National Privacy Commission: privacy.gov.ph, complaints@privacy.gov.ph.
7. Withdrawing consent
You can withdraw consent at any time:
- by clicking the unsubscribe link in any of our emails; or
- by sending a message through the contact form.
Withdrawing consent stops further marketing emails. It does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew.
8. Cookies
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies:
- Strictly necessary: for security, shopping cart and checkout, and page caching.
- Analytics: only if enabled, and subject to your choice in the cookie banner.
You can change your choice at any time through the cookie banner or your browser settings. The wizard itself does not set tracking cookies.
9. Security
We use reasonable organisational, physical and technical measures to protect your data. These include:
- HTTPS encryption;
- access controls on the WordPress dashboard;
- one-time verification codes that are stored only in hashed form and expire after 10 minutes; and
- rate limiting and security monitoring.
If a personal data breach occurs that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the NPC as the law requires.
10. Children
The Site is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from minors through the wizard.
11. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date shows the latest version. If a change affects how we use data you have already given us, we will ask for your consent again where the law requires it.
